SICK

I just got kicked in the butt by a very bad stomach bug I am totally achy, had fever, throwing up, diarrea (sorry...this is graphic)....thank god for all the Propel I had in the house. I am meeting with my nutritionist on monday as well as the anaesthesiologist for my last pre-op stuff. I plan on making sure they know about my illness. Does anyone think they will or should postpone my surgery? By the way, feeling much better today....

They won't postpone your surgery unless you have a fever, or are severly chest congested. I am sure it is just a bug that will pass! Just keep really really hydrated. However...if you are really vomiting, and can't keep anything down, stop trying to put anything in for a while and let the gut rest. If it gets worse, call the doc and they can give you some phenergan which will help with the nausea. It will also knock your butt out so be prepared to sleep. I try to keep some on hand for just that reason. It's getting close...tick tick tick...I hear the clock ticking! This is so exciting!!!!! Sorry you are feeling icky. just rest up and get better!!!!!
