Dr. Fernandez patient support group
Hello! I am new to this but have a question. I see Dr. Fernandez next week. I understand his patients have a support group. Could anyone please share the details on this? I would love to attend. I have already met Dr. Westcott, Susan Butler and spoken with Marie several times. I have even had my psych eval and some lab work. Thanks so much in advance for any response. Weslyn Herman
Hi Wesley! I am a post op patient with Fuzz. You have chosen a fantastic Dr. who comes highly recommended by many! Susan is the wonderful lady, very helpful, informative, and supportive. One classy lady indeed! Please feel free to click on my name which will take you to my profile where I have a link to join his online group. Now, this online group hasn't officially gotten off the ground yet, but we will talk more about it at the next support meeting which is usually scheduled for the last Thursday of each month. I will have to post more on exact location of the meeting because right now it completely escapes me! I know it is the Kitty Hawk room somewhere!! LOL! I will let you know though! When is your appt next week? I go for a follow-up on Thursday at 1pm. Congratulations on your decision to have this surgery! Welcome aboard! Barbara
Hi Weslyn. I had my first consultation with Dr. Fernandez on April 29th. Everyone in his group is wonderful. I believe that the support group is at Piedmont Plaze One, but Barbara will get all the info for you. I have been to 2 of the support groups & everyone there is wonderful & so nice.
Take care & hope to meet you at the next support group.
Julie
Yeah, I still read these things. I used to post a lot more. Just not enough hours in the day anymore. I rather spend my time working out than posting about my workouts.
Anyway...I read about Gakic and Leukic. Muscletech tends to be a little over priced sometimes, but they generally have good stuff. I think if you're just starting back into it, you can make some steady gains without spending a lot on supplements. As long as your getting plenty of protein and some good carbs your body will respond.
In my opinion, Supplements are for that extra 10% when the gains stall out or your training to be your best for some competition.
Good luck.
Do it because nobody else will.
Hi Weslyn! I am a post op Dr. Fuzz patient, my surgery was 3-24-04, I am down 48 lbs the last time I checked!!! Yeah!!! I love Dr. Fuzz and his whole team! They are all great! I have only been able to go to one support group meeting, and I had to leave early because my little one was not able to sit still! lol! I was literally only there about 15 mins so I can't really help you to be prepared for the meeting, other than to tell you there are people there in all stages of their journey, and EVERYONE is Super Sweet!!! I will try my best to be there 5-27-04! Feel free to email me if I can answer any questions for you!
Sincerely,
Bobbie Tate
Hello Weslyn - You have definitely chosen the right surgeon and staff to
do your surgery. I had been checking most all of the other surgeons out
and researching the procedures for almost two years. I am scheduled for
next Wednesday and had all my preops this past Thursday. I think you
will definitely enjoy the support meeting and learning first hand from a lot
of the ones that have been there as well as those of us who are just
starting. Susan will probably send you a bulletin about a week before the
meeting. She had told me it will be @ 6 p.m. Thursday, May 27th in the
Kitty Hawk Room of Piedmont Plaza I building on West First Street near
Miller Street. They all are great to work with and help in any way they can. Also you will find everyone that has had surgery are all very happy to answer questions or help. BEST WISHES AND GOOD LUCK IN GETTING
EVERYTHING SCHEDULED AND WORKING TOWARDS SURGERY. It just
takes a lot of time and patience to get everything together but from all
I have heard, is definitely worth and time and effort spent.
