Good morning everyone!
I'm right there with you coming up just shy of my 100 lb goal but like you I am happy with the results that I've had. My cycle had been thrown completely out of whack since surgery and it joined me for New Years so I was expecting slower movement on the scale. I know the changes are normal but it's been happening more frequently and lasting longer so...booo. I said last week that I was going to start including my exercise in my weekly weigh ins and this week there's not too much to report on that front. I only met my step goals once last week and on the majority of the other days I came up 1500-2000 steps short so there's really no excuse for not getting it done. Yesterday I moved some furniture around so I have room to work out in the basement. I used to enjoy doing zumba down there but just never got myself down there this week to do it. I'm setting a goal for myself of doing it 4 times this week for 30 minutes minimum and no excuses on missing steps. I have been doing better with my water intake though, I've been pushing to hit 96oz instead of the 64oz minimum and getting there most days. Just gotta keep things moving in the right direction.

Morning,
well, I'm home and weighed in. Down four pounds this week, for an official total for 2016 of 98lbs! So close to 100, but I'll take it!
I'm still retaining fluids from increased sodium, and not drinking enough, so I'm feeling confident I'll reach that milestone this week! ... maybe I just jinxed myself...

That's got to be disappointing. I'm sorry your holidays were a bust. But I think it's important not to beat yourself up about eating bread. You need to do what you have to to heal your body.

I gained 5 pounds over the holiday. Lolz on me. But I've been rocking the last few days, so I'm not too worried.

I stalled a bit last week, likely due to Christmas carbs. I ate nothing like years past (very small amounts, no bread, no booze, no soda), but I did indulge in a few bites of pie and other goodies. I don't usually dump if it's small amounts, and even if I do, it's more of a nauseated icky feeling than anything more severe. So I have to be very careful to limit. But still ate more carbs than I usually eat now. But, back on track this week!

I was on vacation all week but I had a really rough week - I had a severe IBS attack and spent Thursday through Sunday in bed. Not a good way to spend my vacation at all. I normally weigh once a week but I had been weighing daily because I was concerned about weight gain with Christmas food - I lost 5 pounds overnight after the attack which is so NOT good. I gained 2 of it back but I'm having a hard time eating regular food right now.
So I'm stuck eating yogurt and boiled eggs. Before RNY my go to IBS foods were orzo and sourdough bread. I don't eat either of those things anymore because I don't eat carbs. But I caved and am eating bread because it soothes my stomach right now. Even something bland like chicken is too much for me.

As far as I know, DS is very rare in Ontario. I read an article the other day that said there is only 1 surgeon here in Ontario that does it. I'm also not sure if it's covered by our provincial health plan or not. Not sure about the rest of Canada. But that's not meant as a discouragement - it just means you will need to do a little more research. Good luck!!

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
