Sorry you are feeling rotten and it screwed up your vacation. Yes, don't beat yourself up about the bread.

You are self aware and will ease back into your regular food routine when you can tolerate it.

Welcome! I think most people are scared ..... i was afraid of dying in surgery but i was also assured of dying early being morbidly obese. We try and fool ourselves that we are not that bad. I had lost weight many times...but could never keep it off. I now have hope of keeping it off. I am not going to tell you it was easy, or is still easy, but it is so worth it.

Spend some time reading the forum boards there is a lot of good information out there.

Good Luck

Topic: Introducing myself

Hello Everyone

I have just found this website and forum and am a complete newbie to the idea of posting.  I was referred by my doctor for surgery in October 2016 and I will be attending an information session next week.  I am still on the fence about surgery, I am afraid of doing it but I am also scared what will become of me if I don't have surgery. I am hoping the information session will help me make a decision. Any support and advice you can give me will be appreciated.

Surgery was on 3/11/16.  My first weigh-in after surgery was 334 lbs and BMI of 55.  All week long I've been walking on air because as of Monday, 1/2/17, I am down to 197.  My goal is 170, with an option for an additional 10.  For the first time in 45+ years I see my goal as attainable.

You know what?  We got this!
