Congrats on meeting your goal and reaching the 125 lb lost mark!
This week I struggled to keep my activity level up and there were two days I didn't meet my step goals. I did make up for it on the other days but those two days I just wasn't feeling it and I barely moved. I'm right back into now though so the little break didn't hurt me any, if anything it probably helped. I've backed off on the Zumba but I've been spending more time on the weight machine. I probably need to work on a better balance of activities. A few days ago I convinced my BF to ride his bike around with me on my walks and he's come with me once a day since. This is really exciting because he desperately needs to increase his activity level and the fact that he's still agreeing to come means he's enjoying it, there's no way he'd humour me three days in a row!
This week I reached 50 lbs lost post op which felt good, and the fact that it got me into the 250's was a nice touch. My next goal is to reach the 240's just because and then 236 for 150 lbs lost.

Another Monday, another weigh in!
I had a good week, loss wise, I met my goal of 253!
thats a 125 pounds down. Crazy!
The next goal is under 232, my lowest adult weight. Then, 228 which is 150 down.
i might try and see if I can come up with something between 253 and 232. That's a bit of along stretch for me.
hope everyone is doing well! Losers are working their plan, and maintainers are finding that balance!

I know the reason many people have the MGB is because the surgery time is shorter. Do you have health issues? Is this why you want this particular surgery? Did you consider RNY or the DS? For us heavyweights, I think these two are our best bets in losing a significant amount of weight.
Just make sure you choose the best surgery for YOU. I want you to be successful.

At first I was going to do the sleeve, but had done some research and reading. Was worried that if I did the sleeve, I'd have to down the road have a revision done, because I wouldn't loose enough of the weight. I'm over 400 lbs and my bmi is 64. I need to loose a lot of weight. Everything I was hearing from past sleeve patients kind of turned me off to it and I've decided to do the mini gastric bypass. My doctor thought I would be most successful doing the MGB.

I noticed on your surgery type it says "mini gastric bypass". Why did you decide to go that route?

It might be because your surgery is longer or more complicated.
My BMI was 60, I was not required to lose any weight pre-op. The only pre-op diet I had was the liver shrinking diet.
I had the sleeve. I also had my surgery in the US.
