Happy Monday!
I had a great weekend at my parents. It's weird, every time I go there for the weekend, I have a good loss, which is the opposite of my experience there preop.... All that country air? I'm guessing it's a combo of change in diet, and not having my scale with me,which usually leads me to be more conservative about portions. Although, having said that, there was a lot of Brie in my belly this weekend haha.
i need some advice. My husband has it in his head that he wants to go to some theme park in the states to ride roller coasters for his 40th bday in 2018. The thing is, I don't think he'll be able to ride some/most of them because of his weight, and he seems clueless to that reality. I know he'd be heartbroken if he gets there and is refused. Any advice on how to bring this up? I was thinking about talking about how excited I feel about flying and not needing a seatbelt extender, and segueing into other things I can do now with ease( sitting in a booth, etc) and try to bring the convo to theme parks...or I could go the more direct route, I just don't know. My dream is that this convo is the spark he needs, but we all know we have to come to that ourselves, in our own time.

Great - thanks
Yes I just started using myfitnesspal. Love it and it's easy once you get the hang of it.
Like Laura mentions, think about your options. I was a heavy weighter too (still am). I weighed around 500 pounds when I first saw my doc to do the sleeve in 2014. I lost 50 pounds before surgery. I got down to just under 300 before I slipped and started eating the wrong things again. Next month I will be having a DS to hopefully put myself on track for more loss.
Many told me to do a gastric bypass, but with research I've found that the DS offers the best chance for us heavyweights to lose and (most importantly) NOT regain.
Good luck to you, no matter what.

Half your starting weight is such an incredible accomplishment! Good luck with those last few pounds!

Oh, goodness. I don't really count carbs, but I do keep my calories at about 900 tops to continue losing. I'm hovering just over 180 now and working at low cal on weekdays, loosen it up on the weekend.
Let me recommend that you journal every bite/drink -- I use My Fitness Pal. It really helped me, especially when I'd have a slow down. And welcome aboard!

It's been a busy start to the week so I'm late getting here.
I was at about the same level of activity this week as I was last week which means there's room for improvement but my focus needs to be elsewhere right now so I'm ok with it for the short term and once I establish a new work routine I'll figure out how to fit it all in. At least that's the plan.
Eating was good this week but I did feel challenged a few times to stay on course. I added a few snacks and while they were healthy and didn't drastically effect my totals for the day it's a dangerous habit. This week I'm tightening back up.

Sorry to hear your doctor wasn't helpful, I fear mine will be the same, and I hope you have better luck with your clinic. Good for you for reaching out for help too.

I've been binging again and i dont know why. I have to do something. Maybe I'll make an appointment at my bariatric clinic since my regular dr was no help.
There was no way in my wheelhouse I at 5'11" thought I could wear a size 6 jeans... I hoped for a 12 when I started...to just be out of plus sizes..... Models wear 6's not MO me...
