I think you're right. I kept losing in year 2. I only stopped because I bumped up my calories (my PCP wanted me to stop). I probably could have kept going a bit more. Other than the first few weeks when your stomach is really swollen from the surgery, I think a lot of the honeymoon phase (not all - but a lot) is due to the fact that you're a lot more dedicated during those first few months.
Aww- thanks. I'm all over the place with what I want. Too much outside 'noise' is influencing my state of flux. Best thing for me to do right now is not make any decision one way or another- until I can hear just my inner voice.

I actually agree with Fozziebear, I always found changing things up helped with a stall... sometimes we get into a rut with our food... and adding some fat. Sometimes we forget, and we need that too.

I know when I read "goal reached in 10 months! or 8 months! or whatever... it is hard. I do tell WLS surgery peeps how much I've lost, but I do not tell friends, family and the general population because I don't think they could put their mind around someone losing 220lbs.... I didn't only lose a person, I lost a large person...and I feel they would judge in their own way....
I don't think the 'Honeymoon" is a total myth- but the ability to lose weight doesn't just disappear after a year. Overtime you can physically eat more...yes you still have restriction but not like in the early days, where you literally took 2 bites and couldn't eat more. That is why developing good habits early on is so important...

Peach, you are a beautiful woman who can run an under 12 minute mile... You are awesome! No oddball.
I knew I wanted to be under 200lbs. I picked 170 as a random goal. After Bodyfat testing I upped my goal to 189... Once I hit 195 I said I would take it 5lbs at a time. After being MO *****ally knows what a good weight is until you get there....

I'm glad I'm not the only one to feel like this. I've been to ashamed to post my starting weight cause I still have a long way to go, but being down 114 pounds is still an accomplishment to me. I too would feel like i was doing something wrong or losing to slow because people where reaching there goal so quickly, but I have to remind myself that i have over 250 pounds to lose. Basically the extra person i was carrying around needed surgery too. I love coming to this site daily to help me keep on focus and remind me that my day of goal will come if I stick to it. I'm almost 7 months out and still religiously track everything i eat. I don't think i've ever kept up on my food tracking that long before. I should note that that 114 pounds down is counting from my starting weight at orientation over a year ago. I lost 40 pre-op and 74 since surgery Sept 12, 2016.

Good luck breaking into the 200's! If you feel like you've been stuck for awhile maybe try changing up your routine a little? I'm by no means any type of expert but I've found my body reacts best to a little inconsistency.
