You're so right about not having an off the rack body. I almost impulse purchased a jean jacket online, then realized I literally had no idea what size to order! Zero.
im finding people's reaction to my loss getting interesting. I've been open about surgery, but a lot of people obviously don't know. So I've had hushed questions about wanting to compliment me, but wanted to be sure it wasn't Ill health causing it. My grandmother is over the moon, she's nearing 90, and lost nearly 150 pounds in the 80s and maintains it. She's hilarious. She keeps staring at my belly saying keep it up hahahaha my local butcher said you've lost a lot of weight eh? I told him it's the good meat I buy there hahah
but I haven't had anyone tell me I should stop yet.

Ugh I'm suffering from a severe migraine right now. I went to the er last wed and to my neurologist on Friday for 3 infusions. I'm not a lot better, struggling to go to work and not able to do much else.
So at Christmas I got sick and lost 4 pounds in 3 days and never gained it back. And this past week I lost 3 pounds again. Which yay - not complaining at all - but it's never a good way to lose if it's because of being sick. I'm not actively trying to lose anymore and I'm not concerned about losing too much at all because I know I won't waste away. I just wondered if anyone had any experience with this?

Sorry to hear you had a rough day Gwen. Anniversaries, especially the first ones, can be really hard. I lost my dad to cancer as well so I understand the emotions and I'm glad to hear that the scale was kind to you.
8 weeks!! So exciting!!

Morning guys!
I had a similar summer clothing realization and spent a bit of time this weekend at the thrift store where I found a few things. Being unsure of changing sizes and fit meant I tried on A LOT of stuff... too much? It's an adjustment to look for things that are more fitted and there's a whole new learning curve on how to dress my nowhere near "off the rack" body.
I saw my ex MIL yesterday and she commented that it was amazing that I had reached my goal already.... ummm, huh?? Early on I told her I would love to get into the 100's and she thought I had reached it. Nope, but it was nice to hear that I look like I'm getting close!
Decent scale number this week, passed my 150lbs lost mark by one pound and I'm inching closer to my 220 low weight goal so it's exciting times. I'm in a similar position with having a break between goals but haven't thought of anything to add beyond getting into the single digits in the 200's. Next goal is breaking into the 220's followed by reaching (and then passing) my 220 low weight.

Spring is here too! Very exciting. Short skirts ALL WEEK!!
My weight today was a big WTF. Why? Because I ate salty popcorn on Saturday and wallowed in grief yesterday with nachos and chips in memory of my dad. (It was the one year anniversary of his death.) I put myself into a carb coma yesterday. I knew, for sure, my weight was going to be up today. Like pounds of weight up. I almost skipped weighing myself since I didn't want to see that.

Morning weekly weighers!
Well, it finally happened! Spring is here! But I realized, in my rush for warmer weather, I forgot the fact that I have practically zero spring/summer outfits for work, and zero casual summer wear! Yikes!
i had another good losing week. I'm zeroing in on my goal of 232 (lowest adult weight plus clinic goal)! Insane. My next goal is 228, which is 150 lbs down. Then...under 200??? Whaaa? I might have to come up with something in between to break it up a bit though..

FINALLY I HAVE MY SURGERY DATE!!! I am so excited, and somewhat petrified. I will be having surgery on August 22, 2017. Dr. Timothy Jackson is scheduled to do it (but apparently it could be any of the surgeons on the team at TWH).
So it is very real and very overwhelming now. I am hoping for a cancellation as even a week earlier would help me out. I have to be in full form and in full swing to return to work in a crazy stressful 4th quarter starting October 2nd.
Nonetheless, it is happening. What a way to start the weekend!

Jackson TWH.

Goal 1- 50 pound loss by Jan. 1, 2018 (245.6 lbs) reached August 10, 2017
Goal 2 - 100 pound loss by June 21, 2018 (one year post op) (195.6) reached TBD
I feel the same way, sometimes I look at someone who started at 250 (or less) and think, if I were 250 I don't know if I would have had the surgery. But that is #1 not my business and #2 if I would have had surgery at 250 maybe I would have been better off, but you can't go backwards.
My goal weight is 170 and as with some of you it was just a random number that I came up with, I don't really know what I will do when I get there. I don't even know if I will get there. At this point if I can get under the 200 pound mark I will be ecstatic.
All of you that started at the 300+ level are such an inspiration to me and the fact that 2 or 3 years out you are still working at it and even continuing to loose is phenomenal. I really admire all of you that work at every day years after the "honeymoon" is over - it gives me so much hope!
