Barely is still there - so CONGRATS! :D
I totally know what you mean. I still talk/think of myself as an SMO person and it's weird.. especially around people who don't know SMO Gwen.

I had hoped to be in the 140s this week but, lol. My period started and I had popcorn so weight went up as a result of both. When my period ends I hope to be in the 140s :D

morning weekly weighers!
I officially crossed over into new territory this weekend. Officially under 200. I mean, barely, but still hahha
Also a couple of nsvs that have probably been around for a while, but only recently noticed.
- I can set a plate food on my lap. Because I have a lap.

- And flip side of having a lap, is that my belly is too small to use as a shelf now.
- twice now people have mistaken me for one of my sisters.
on the mental side, we talk a lot about our brain catching up. Well, I realized a few days ago that a conversation I had with someone probably made me look like someone I would totally have rolled my eyes at pre op.
i was talking to an accountant who came to the office and she was wearing a dress similar to one I have, and it lead to a big conversation about plus fashion, and limitations etc. but I was talking as though I was still a size 5x, not a size 16. Like I totally forgot. And she has no idea I recently lost all this weight!
i know when people who were my now size would talk as though they were smo, it would drive me nuts. Hahha here I am, doing the same!
Stats:
HW:378
LW:204
TW: 199.6 (like I said, just. hahah there's a good chance I'll bounce up and down here a while)
goals: next major goal is 189, half my body weight loss. Then 178, which will be 200 lost. I think I'll start setting 5 pound goals too, as I think I'll need it. So the next one on the radar is getting to 195.
hope everyone has a great week!

I haven't had ankle pain, but I did have a wicked bout of plantar fasciitis. And hip and some back pain. My bariatric clinic includes Access to a kinesiologist, and they've been super helpful! Our physiology is pretty jacked. My understanding is Basically some of us have pain because now some of our muscles aren't loaded any more, to carry the weight, so they contract, but the tendons or ligaments (?) are still stretched, and need time to adjust. And also, in my case with my back, is basically fat was doing some of the job of holding me up, and now some muscles that are now needed, are not happy hahah
hope the exercises help! I know they did for me!

I saw my dr today she thinks it's tendinitis and gave me excercises to do four times a day. My range of motion is compromised from being so heavy for so long. If the exvercises don't help she will send me to a podiatrist. Thanks for the response! ?
Have you seen an orthopedist or podiatrist about your ankles?
What kind of shoes are you wearing and how old are they? You might need new shoes or better shoes that have more support through the ankle. A shoe like the Saucony Omni or the Brooks Beast could be useful.

Does anyone else have ankle pain. I've lost 300 lbs but my ankles,(the area where my foot connects to my leg) hurts so bad. I walk a lot band I do have psoriatic arthritis but the dr says the ankle pain isn't arthritis. Just wondering if anyone else experiences this and what they do to help it
