Absolutely it's hard! If it wasn't hard, I'm pretty confident none of us would have had surgery! But it's worth it. You've got this, 10 pounds down is a great start -just focus on doing what you've been doing to take off another 10 pounds and go from there! I was a BMI of 50 and was able to lose 48 pounds in the 6 weeks leading up to surgery so I know you drop this weight quickly if you put your mind to it.

Already on diabetes doctor and it seems getting better overtime, first he got plague now its gone.
You can only encourage him, it sounds like he has several medical concerns that are concerning, and while they could be helped by weight loss, they need to be addressed now. If his current physicians aren't helping him, maybe seek second opinions on care.

Lol! I totally get wanting every single ounce. You worked for it!
This week I totally screwed up at lunch at work and ate Mexican for some screwed up reason - because I was in pain mainly and feeling sorry for myself which is NO EXCUSE - and immediately got sick and threw up less than 15 minutes later. uggghhh.
So then I got stuck in this cycle I hate where I weigh myself nonstop, which is not good for me because I obsess. ugggggghhh.
However I start the week and ended the week at the same weight. I wish I had just stuck to my regular eating to save myself the issues!

morning weekly weighers!
hope everyone had a good week!
weigh in wise, my week was all over the place! Low day of 197, then kept climbing! The body fat % on my scale kept dropping though. I know they aren't accurate as to what the percent actually is, but mine seems consistent in its recording at least.

I've lost a few pounds nothing over 40 on adipex. 20Lbs on my own in the past. This is what I'm doing now eating less calories. I've lost 10lbs so far.Sometimes it's really hard.
how have you done in past attempts to lose weight? Just trying to understand your experience level- some are pro's at losing, then some (like me) had mimimal tries/ success.
I'm always amazed at how much people are able to lose leading up to surgery. High BMI's especially can lose quickly with relatively small changes.
Eating less calories then you use is key. Whether you choose to track calories, or join weigh****chers and count points. There are various methods, find one your comfortable with.
