Looking great in an "amazing size" is such a wonderful NSV. I think it's just as important as any number. I tried on some clothes from the back of my closet this week that I fully expected not to fit, and what do you know? They fit and fit well. Craziness.

I'm having a run of decent weight loss. The days of rapid loss are behind me. So seeing two lbs for the week is sweet!

I guess I'll get us started today! My weight is all over the place at the moment, but I was able to wear (and buy) an amazing bodice in an amazing size yesterday, so I'm not too concerned right now. Weighing the day after going to the Ren Faire does not give a good number :)

Next goal: 145 which is "normal" BMI. So close and yet so far.

How about you, weekly weigher?

I am so impressed! I too had 200 pounds to lose from what I weighed when I started my 2 week pre-op diet. I'm fact my stretch goal is to lose 211 pounds, possibly more. It is very encouraging to me to know of your amazing loss this far!

I did not use my pool that much this summer. Using the ladder hurt. Last summer I did exercise in the pool everyday.

My surgery is Wednesday September 6th. My Dr. wanted me to loose 35 pounds before surgery. I basically did a semi liquid diet. I would drink 2 or 3 Premier Protein shakes a day. My snacks were 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese, 1/2 cup of sugar free jello, 1/2 cup of Unsweet apple sauce, sugar free popsicles, and low fat yogurt. My dinner was a healthy serving of protein and veggies. I will say it was not always easy, but you can do it if I did. I think I would have lost if I could have walked more. I have pinched nerves in my back that gives me trouble with walking. Hope the weight loss surgery will help with my back after the weight loss. Good Luck do not give up you can do this.

Hi there,

I also get back pain when I am on my feet more than 5 minutes at a time. It goes right down my leg and then I get pain and weakness. I have been working all summer eating healthy and trying to exercise. What I have found works best for me is swimming. I don't do anything too exciting, just front crawl and some simple exercises. It doesn't hurt and it feels great. I am sore the next day mind you but it's a good sore. There is also some exercise videos on you tube that do exercise routines for obese people. Most are sitting in a chair. I hope this helps.
