Great deal on the Fitbit. I shopped a lot on Friday. My biggest splurge was on an Apple Watch. It was actually my planned goal gift... But I've been wanting a heart rate monitor and didn't want to shell out $100+ on one only to later buy the Apple watch that has the heart rate monitor. I too got it at target, used my red card and they gave a $100 gift card.
Holiday was quiet/low key for us. We didn't visit any family, so no drama :-) As long as the memory of the holiday sticks with you longer then the weight, it's all good.

I almost forgot to post this weeks progress. I'll say first, I think I've just become a convert from weekly weighing to daily. I'm doing a weight loss study through a local university and they sent me a free Bluetooth scale and it requires me to weigh daily. It's not messing with my head like I thought it would and I like seeing the small incremental progress. I still only count Friday's as the official weight.
Highest weight 335
Last week 250.5
this week 247.3
Next goal: 235 (100# lost)

I worked all day ****il midnight) Thursday and Friday. The wonders of working retail this time of year. But at least I didn't have to fight the temptation of the Thanksgiving Feast. Glad you had a great holiday!

Awe. Sorry about the drama. I hope you do not have to see your mom's side of the family very often. Thankfully there was no drama for us this year. I was worried because usually I deal with family holidays by drinking lots of wine, but I no longer drink so I did not know if I could get through the day
I broke down and bought a new anorak jacket and sweater from JC Penney for myself. I needed both and got a good deal.

Good week all things considered. I didn't get to the gym as much as I wanted, but holiday family stuff is worth it and I don't mind so much. I was happy that I didn't eat too much, though I did have some holiday only kinda things (turkey with gravy, a couple of bites of mashed potatoes, crostini with red pepper pesto and brie goat cheese) and that is ok.
I also enjoy that for the second year in a row we have scaled down the holiday food so that there are a decent amount of leftovers. There is still lots of food, don't get me wrong, but not like before (nothing like before!), and we sent everyone home with lots of food - so even less stayed here.

I love your quote about two lives. That is inspirational, and so true!
Happy Thanksgiving :) I am 2/3 done with Thanksgiving celebrations. I had one for my Mom's side last Saturday which was drama filled and had me in therapy on Monday (seriously) and then had a nice calm one at my house with just my husband and I, my MIL and her BF and my parents yesterday and then this Saturday and I have my in-laws. Since I'm still in my weight loss mode I don't want to eat outside my comfort zone so turkey, some veggies and later on my crustless, SF pumpkin pie for dessert has been my food at each celebration so far. 2 down one more to go!
I did online shopping too - getting clothes since I desperately need some! I got cheap jeans and sweaters at Kohl's and got Kohl's cash so I can get more next week :)

"We all have two lives. The second begins when we realize we only have one."
We did. We spent the first half of the day at one brother's house and the other half at my other brother's house. My anti-social daughter was whiney at the end of the night, but she made it through.
I did Black-Friday shopping online this morning. My best find was a Fit*****arge for my younger daughter for Christmas, regularly $130, on sale at Target for 90-4.50 with my RedCard, plus a 20% off coupon for my next shopping trip. We wear Fitbit Zip's right now and wanted to upgrade after we were sure we would actually wear them
I ate a ton yesterday and made the mistake of getting on the scale this morning. Up 2 from yesterday, but it's all good. I will lose it this week.
