Hi! I had RNY and my recovery was more like your mom's but everyone's is so different. So many on here recover super quickly. I didn't have the issue with the burps. SF fudge pops should be fine, I was allowed to have them at least. I didn't start eating them until a little further out though but I know some people liked them as snacks a lot. I would say drink water as much as possible is the only thing I can remember about tips. The more water the better!

I just wanted to say hi! I don't know much about the DS, hoping you got good responses on that board.
Happy New Years to you! Good luck to you and I really hope that everything is going well.

I've been a bit out of it since surgery a few weeks ago to remove some tumors (benign thankfully) and my body just hasnt really felt right. I get that I need time to heal, and the soreness and pain are enough to remind me I have to take it easy, but I miss moving around a lot and I miss the gym. My eating has been fine; I had a few holiday snacks, but it was nothing major, so I'm okay and I'm not really worried about it. I figure things will sort themselves out as I heal and I can get back to moving more.

You might have a better DS-specific response from the DS board. I just ordered the patch multi-vitamin from PatchMD. They advertise on this site, and people seem to be having a good report on their labs using it. No pill swallowing required. Wear it 12 hours. My plan is to put it on in the evening and wear overnight.
They have 40% discount code too. The new one is OHGoals

Everyone's recovery is different. I taught a 2 hour Art class, standing on day 5. I was exhausted at the end, and took some quick 'sit' breaks...but I did it. After one week, I couldn't believe I had surgery a week ago. Not that weren't still challenges, and I still got tired in the afternoon... but overall good.
SF fudge pops? probably wouldn't hurt you, but they are empty calories. you have such little real estate at this point, you want to make sure you are getting the most bang for your buck. Popsicles have a few calories, but not many.
I had a hard time getting all the fluids in for a long time, so I found it easier if I drank 8-16oz of water/fluid first thing before I ate any food. Once I ate food I found it harder to get fluid down..
Good Luck

Today marks one year since I started my weight loss journey! It has been a wonderful year. I am only 7 lbs from my original personal goal. I sat in the surgeons office and told him I would love to be 175. It's surreal to think that it will be a reality soon!
Happy New Year!
HW: 335

TW: 238 this is my best guess, my Wi-Fi scale won't sync so I'm being conservative, averaging based on yesterday and today's weights.
Next goal: 235, 100# lost. I actually saw this number this week but won't count it till I see it on a Friday.
I had a NSV today too. I'm in a hotel and the towel actually wraps around me!
