Next GOAL - Onederland!
Yay! I was able to get back to the gym this week (3 times!) and even though it was only half time - I'm working my way back to where I was - it felt great. It really is a great stress reliever for me and I just feel better after (even if I've had a crap day).
I'm back!

I have been a bit remiss in posting the last few weeks, but I'm excited to share that I hit a major milestone, and am officially down 100 pounds from my highest!!!!
High weight: 378
Weight at 1st WLS consult 7/13/15: 363
Today: 276.5
Next goal: under 263 (which is 100 pounds down from my initial WLS consult)
I also updated my ticker to start from my highest weight rather than my consult weight. I worked hard for those 15 pounds, and they should count too! Hope everyone is doing well!!

I'm late to the party, but here now. I am working on losing my holiday weight and am down to my last pound and it is still January!! Woot woot!! Usually it takes me much longer to lose the holiday weight. At 7 years out, I don't panic about it like I used to.
Highest Weight: 339
Goal Weight: 140
Holiday Weight Gain: 5.7 pounds
Current Weight: 141

You have so much going on in your life. "Maintaining" at 180 for now is amazing. You will figure it all out and lose the rest when you are ready. Be kind to yourself!!

Good for you!! No point wallowing in self-pity. That is an important lesson to be learned by all of us. I know when I was morbidly obese and gained, I would just say f-this and gain even more. Not now. I pick myself up and get back on track, just like you.
You've got this!!

So happy for you!! Weight loss surgery gave me my life back. Remember it will be hard all along the way. This is no "free-ride". It gets easier in some ways and then harder in others. a roller coaster for sure but definitely worth it.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!!

I can hardly believe that I'm sitting here right now getting ready for surgery in 2 days! It's been such an amazing 2 weeks. It was the Friday before last when I actually started the process again (having tried 5 years ago unsuccessfully). I definitely feel like it was meant to be. I know normally most people have to wait several agonizing months before being able to get their surgery so when I started the process 2 weeks ago I had no idea that I would be sitting here preparing to go into the hospital in 2 days!!
I am beyond words.... I cannot wait to start this new life changing journey and I really look forward to meeting many new friends to share this unforgettable experience with!
Happy Friday to All!

Next Goal: 165--at this point I am making one pound goals until I reach 160!

I snack on chicken sausages a lot. I am sure they have nitrates, but I like the salt and savory, and I love love love the Trader Joe's jalapeño sausages or the AmyLu andouille chicken sausage. I have no excuse to add a carb to this snack (like I do if I eat cheese or a dip). I also have been loving egg salad recently. I boil up the eggs, peel them immediately and put them in a ziploc. When I want egg salad, I mash one or two up with some light mayo, a touch of mustard, and salt and pepper.
You're doing great with your weight loss! So awesome!
