Hi you look amazing! I'm pre-op and scared of complications but also scared I will need plastic surgery post WL to look any good. Did you have skin removal because you look great and have good muscle tone.
My highest weight was over 700lbs. I got down to around 450 with diet. I had surgery around 400 pounds.
I don't regret it for a moment. It was like night and day. I still have at least 100lbs to lose, but that's like easy peasy now. I've gained and relost so much weight that I probably have lost a ton, heh. Surgery was amazing. I changed all my habits, and I'm not gnawingly hungry now. My hunger is managable and no longer urgent to satisfy.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

I hate to really 'like' this because I know how frustrating it is....
My best advice for plateaus has always been - change things up, as in eat different things....and eat some fat. We need that too.

Not only would I do it again ... I would do it every year for the rest of my life, if I had to. Seriously. It's THAT worth it.

I started with a BMI of 57.
I had the RNY. I am very happy with my surgery. I think the DS, VSG and the RNY are all good surgeries. Different surgeries are right for different people.
Like Laura suggested, I would look at the DS with a BMI of 67. It may be right for you.
Good luck in whatever you decide.

Agreed. It's a really hard lesson to learn, too.
