I am not sure about North Carolina, but here in Illinois most of the Medicaid providers have a service called case management.  A case manager is a professional who can help you coordinate your medical care.  If you call your provider you can request it.  If you feel overwhelmed it might be a good idea.  They can also make sure you get a surgeon.

If you call your provider you can also get a list of surgeons who will take your case.  You will need a referral to one from your primary care doctor first.  Medicaid also requires you have surgery at a bariatric center of excellence.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

HW 351

Surg Weight 331

Last week 314

This week 308.8

Next goal:  under 300

Goal weight:  Not sure...180?  Hard to imagine.  I sorta feel like after I get past 275 that I won't get any lower.  I have a mental block - Its been so long since I've weighed less than 275, I can't imagine being there again.

I'm walking, and starting to think about more exercise - elliptical and exercise videos are on the list.

I didn't meet my goal last week of doing the elipitcal twice - I have been so exhausted.  But, it is my goal again this week.  I'm still walking about 3/4 of a mile a day.

I've been back to work for two weeks and I'm super impatient an annoyed, I'm telling myself just to be patient and see how things seem 3-6 months after surgery.

NSV:  I did not eat the cupcakes or the donuts in the office last week!

Hope you are all enjoy the rest of your week.

Happy Monday! Had a big weight loss this week of 4 pounds - this late in the game for me feels amazing. I've been feeling hungrier the last few weeks but I've still been between 600-800 calories a day, trying to cling onto that as long as I can to optimize the weight loss as long as I can lol. Obviously some days I might go over - like for our anniversary we went out to eat and I had 2 pieces of sushi, I haven't had rice since my surgery. It was amazing!! I had other stuff to eat but I've been obsessing over allowing myself to eat those 2 pieces. I'm trying to find that balance between not freaking out that I had 2 pieces of sushi in 14 months and returning to my previous overeating.

It's been a crazy last two months, and I've been terrible about posting updates.  I had my gallbladder out at the end of March and then stalled for 5 weeks!  Although it was frustrating, I didn't let it get me down, and I'm back to losing again!  Last week I hit a MAJOR goal of being down 150 pounds from my highest!!!

High weight: 378.8

Today's weight: 225.1

Next goal: 213 (150 pounds down from my consult, which was July 13, 2015)

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

fitness: on track,4x a week. Since it's sunny early I will get an extra run in  in the AMs once the kids are done school. I was able to get one in today and LOVE starting my day with my exercise out of the way.

My weight is moving at a snails pace, I'm definetley  being mindful of how I eat as a result. I know I'll get there, I'm just keeping my eyes on the prize.
