Had a big drop this week of 4 pounds. Any time that happens at this point I'm so freakin happy. I have ten pounds to go to reach my original goal. TEN. That seems insane to me when I had 202 pounds to lose.

I am 5'11" and started with a 53.4 BMI. Once you are over a 40 BMI co-morbidities usually aren't required. Being morbidly obese is a morbidity in itself. As Laura said each insurance has different requirements. I spoke with my insurance company and they emailed me a link to their policy. It also has to be covered under your insurance. Some companies do exclude it in their policy.

Pulling in the at the tail end of the week. It has been a little bit of a roller coaster since I last posted. I gained 5lbs over last weekend. ???? Low blood sugar episode??? Only down one of the five because I've been traveling and at my son's. When I get home back to basics with 5 day Meat test. carbs beget carbs and hunger. Ack!

Went for Body fat testing yesterday. So I think I am setting my maintenance range at 170 +/- 2-3lbs. So I am still in my 'range' just don't like being at the top end of it. The journey continues....

I went out of town last weekend and gained. Boo. I will get back on track this week. I turn 50 in August and want to get back down to 135 by then.
Last week I posted that I was going to get the Withings WS-50 scale, but they just came out with a new one called the BodyCardio, so I ended up ordering that one. I haven't gotten it yet, but will post a review after I get it.
Here are my stats for the week:

- Highest Weight: 339

Have you already chosen your surgeon? Mine contacted my insurance for me to find out what criteria I had to meet (I had to do the six months supervised diet and have 5 years of documentation of being obese).
Best wishes on your journey!! My highest BMI was 53.
ETA- If covered, most insurance companies require a BMI over 40 or 35 with comorbidities.

Well, you probably know now, that not all of us became fat because we ate a lot, or made bad food choices. Some of us just have efficient metabolisms. I bet you fit that category too.
Good luck with your revision, and I hope you get to a happy healthy bmi.
