Hi Liz,

I'm fairly new although I've been a member since 2003 and I recently activated my account.

I'm trying to lose weight as well but unfortunately, I gained a few pounds over the past few months and I want to try and lose some soon.

I tend to eat for comfort and then I get guilt trips when I overeat and it has become a negative cycle which I want to break but I'm so used to eating to comfort myself and reduce anxiety.

It sounds strange but this is what I'm dealing with.

Just keep focused on your goal Marion and try not to let anything hold you back.

If you want something enough You'll find a way to get it.

I've been where you started in terms of excess weight, heavy smoking.

I beat the latter but I'm still working on the former.

My ideal weight is 190 pounds and

I'm currently 240 and I'm 5ft 5 or 3 I'm not too sure?

I am sure about wanting to lose weight though but unfortunately saying it isn't as easy as making it happen.

I managed to get down to 190 but I gained it again over the past 6 years.

Hi,

I'm new to the boards and currently 20 months out from my D/S surgery. Doing pretty well and surpassed my three year goal at 18 months and I'm at my "wish goal" as of yesterday. Now my GP would like me to lose more weight... I told him I was staying on the program until I was two years out and whatever weight I was, I would be happy with it. My stats are as follows.

HW 6/6/16 #398.89 BMI 67.4

SW 11/29/16 #356 BMI 60.2

CW 0723/18 #170 BMI 27.1

I'm currently still doing very low carb, high protein, lots of water, walking and hitting the gym three times a week.

Thanks,

Liz

I had kind of forgotten about this board. I have been slowly creeping in the right direction... I tend to stay the same for several weeks and then have a small loss. This far out any loss is OK.

I didn't actually weigh myself this morning, but I'll get us going anyway. I had a bad weekend so my weight is up because of that - I let myself get super dehydrated on Friday due to some stomach thing, and then I ended up eating all the carbs over the weekend to make myself feel better. Because that totally makes sense, eh?

HW: 319

LW: 159.4
TW (yesterday): 158.6

Next goal: making my signature honest - 149!

I was 156.2 on Saturday, but I'm pretty sure that was due to very bad dehydration more than actual weight.

How about you all? Any weekly weighers around?

My doctor has been doing bariatric surgeries for 20 years. He is now doing almost exclusively VGS not because it's easier, but because of the successful longterm outcomes, with the least longterm side effects.

Thank you! I've heard good things about Dr. Grantcharov, I certainly feel safe in his hands. Good to hear you had a positive experience, and congrats on all your progress! I can see from your ticker that you're doing amazingly well!
