Have a good week.
I stalled this week. It might have been my post-op stall, but it's more likely Thanksgiving related. Last week was crazy, both personally and at work; I kept forgetting my vitamins, and I hit my protein goal on only one day. I made Thanksgiving dinner, and I did a lot of more bariatric-friendly foods (courtesy of the Bariatric Foodie Holiday Survival Guide), but I ended up with more carbs than I usually eat. A few bites of potatoes, dressing (even if it was heavy on the lean pork), desserts (all sugar free or half sugar at most, and then small amounts)...too many carbs. And I haven't had my fiber regularly, either. Sigh. Bad Jessica! But at least I didn't gain! Back to basics today for me!

Lolz. I ate way too much over the four days of Thanksgiving! I "gained" two pounds since last week, five since my low. I'm not worried, it's the kind of weight that comes off quickly. Glad I've got a month to get things going in the right direction before Christma****s! (Although we did meal planning for Christmas during Thanksgiving, and it will be much healthier.)

We had thanksgiving at my house and I was able to pay attention to exactly what I ate. I did have a small amount of both potatoes and dessert but was still happy with what I ate. But then we had leftovers of that dessert in the house and I found it hard to control myself...I had to throw them away yesterday. I just couldn't do it!
But I weighed myself and still managed to lose so I must not have indulged too much so I'm super happy.

Hi everyone!
Well, im pretty much exactly where I was last week. It bugs me a bit, but it also makes sense. I haven't been hitting my protein goals consistently, even if my carbs have been under, I think it makes a difference. Also, other than the week three stall, I've been losing 3-6 pounds a week. Plus I ate ate out every day this weekend, so I'm sure my salt intake was off the charts.
Time to double down on protein and up my water!
hope all of you in the US had a great thanksgiving!

Thanks! And I totally get what you mean about not every day being a celebratrion. This is my first holiday season post op. It's still such early days for me that I'm not too worried. Cautious, but not stressed I guess I would say. But I know that won't be the case for ever!

Congratulations on the normal BMI. That is so great, you have worked very hard. Did you wonder if you'd ever get here? I know I wasn't sure along the way it would happen...

So many milestones on the Board this week... Congratulations on reaching the 200's. When I had this surgery I hadn't been below 300 for 20 years....It is a new life, a new beginning...congrats again!
Maintenance is +/-165 - my official day -Wednesday- I was 165. Right in the 'zone'
So my goal this holiday season is to enjoy my days of chosen celebration- but realizing that not every day is a celebration and try and be on point the other days....and end the season and still be 'in the zone' the first week of January....
Even in my dieting days or being on WW during the holidays...I always managed Thanksgiving to Christmas decently.... it was the week of Christmas to New Years that I could gain 10lbs in a week...
This is my third Holiday season since WLS and the first one I am really physically capable of screwing up.... I can absolutely eat more and eat around my surgery if I let myself... so being cir****pect and trying to stay focused....
