How does the Century Club work?

Hi everyone, I just updated my profile because I went for my 2 month check-up today. I lost 14# this past month, which I am happy about. Initially, I was worried that I wasn't losing enough in this 2nd month, but I know I am doing fine now. Dr. MacColl said I'm on track. Anyway, my question is about the Century Club... do you become a "member" when you lose 100# after surgery or does required pre-op weight loss count as well? In January, when I started my journey, I weighed 333#; I was required to lose 33# before surgery on May 31st. Since surgery, I have lost 39#. So, the grand total is -72#. Someone please tell me - am I 28# away from being a member or am I 61# away? Just curious. Regardless, it feels good to be a loser . Tanja

Tanja, I'm curious too. I'm down 93# from my highest weight and getting close to that Century mark, but if it's Surgery Weight then it's 81#. I've been wondering how it worked too, do we apply for the card to be on our profiles, anyone know? Myra

Usually someone will make it for you, or you can copy someone else's card and use a graphics editing software. If you can't, then post here to ask for your card when it's time and maybe one of the volunteers that does HTML can help ya out.

Tanja, A loss is a loss whether pre-op or post-op. I say count it all. Also to get a card added all you have to do is email the html team. [email protected] Put "century card" in the subject line. They will help you put one on your profile for you. Amy
