Weekly Weigh-In Jan 15-21
Monday, Monday...
Here we are again! I know this is a pretty quiet thread these days, but I still appreciate the weekly check in. It's a long slog for those of us that started out in the 50+Bmi range. and the risk of burnout is real. What helps is constantly reminding myself that this is not i diet, its a lifestyle, so there really is no end. and to look elsewhere for validation that i'm on the right path. other than the scale, or even clothing sizes at this point.
My holiday gains are coming off. slower than i'd like, but it's happening, and that's what counts.

Hi Erin! I also appreciate the weekly check-in. It is a long haul for those of us who start over 50 BMI, and, yes, I get envious of people who make goal in 6 months. But.. I'll get there eventually and it's not a race. Also, at this point, the only one who wants me to lose more weight is me. So that's cool. No more pressure from medical providers is amazing. (Well, except for the generic Urgent Care passive aggressive printouts.)

Next goal: 145 for a normal BMI! And, of course, hitting 149 again en route - since that was my lowest weight so far. Pretty close to that one :)

Good morning Erin and everyone! I came very late to this board and wish I had been a regular poster sooner. It is a longer haul for the 50+ and sometimes it's hard to see some get to goal in single digit months... I'm happy for everyone *****aches their goal, but the struggle is just longer and a bit different.
I am still losing, but it is so much harder than early on... that said I know that people say how hard maintenance is, but right now having more choices sounds like a dream.

I was in the 150's all week, 157 for 3 day even, so hoping I own it.
Goals get down to 155!
Have a great week!

On the one hand, maintenance still seems like a pipe dream to me.
On the other hand, I am maintaining. I'm maintaining a very slow rate of loss AND I have maintained everything I've lost so far!

Even though I hit a three week stall (just a few weeks after surgery), I lost a pound this week! Very happy about this. I started exercising more and with being able to increase my fluids level (up to about 50 or so ounces), I believe that is the reason for the stall. My clothes are even looser than before the hospital, so I hope everything is good!

Hi everyone!
I didn't post last week, although I had a great week... down 3 lbs. This week, I was up 3 lbs at some point in the week, but for my weigh in today, it came off again, and I am back down to "stay the same" as last week. I'll take it!!!
Life has been super busy, and super awesome. I am 1 lb away from 80 lb loss. And at the end of 2017, I met the greatest guy!! We've been dating for about 3 weeks, and it's going great. He knows about my surgery too and is super supportive. So... I've been a bit distracted lately, not getting on here as much as I used to. Lol
HW: 308
LW: 229
TW: 229
Goal: Get to (and pass!) 228 to achieve and surpass 80 lb loss!! I've been lingering around it since Christmas... time to blow it out of the water!
