Weekly Weigh-in 27/03/17-02/04/17
Monday, Monday....
ready for another week gang?
When i went back to work, I was worried about how it would impact my weight loss. So far, it's been a pretty smooth transition. I need to be a bit more mindful of my water intake. I don't really get to stay in one place for long at the office,so I started carrying my sports bottle with me wherever I go. I also was rushing my lunches, and had a few days where it sat like a rock. Again, being more mindful is what it takes.
what I still need to do, is figure out a new exercise routine.
Stats:
HW: 378
LW: 246
TW: 244
Goals: under 232 ( lowest adult weight, and where my clinic thought I'd settle...), then 228 which will be 150lbs lost. Then under 200?? I've avoided setting timeline goals but if I can get to 200 by September ( my 1 year surgiversary) I will be over the moon. It's tight, but not impossible.
Take care e everyone!

Ready or not here we go!
I've been thinking a lot about my transition back to work and I'm glad to hear it's going well for you. I'm sure I'm worrying about it more than necessary but that's just what I do sometimes. The fear of the unknown I guess.
I was able to increase my activity a little this week, nothing spectacular but my daily numbers were back up again from the previous week. I've been in a good groove scale wise so I'll stick with the menu and activity plan for now until it's time to shake it up again.
I've noticed a huge increase in my energy level the past two weeks too. I know some of it is an improved mental outlook but there's more too it than that. Being cooped up in the house on rainy days hasn't helped. This pea**** needs to fly!! (hoping someone reading this has seen The Other Guys)
HW- 386
LW- 244.2
TW- 241.1
Next goal is to get into the 230's just because followed by 236 for 150 lbs lost. I'm 20 lbs from my lowest adult weight and I can't believe I'm this close to it.
You can absolutely meet your September goal, I have complete faith in you. I've been cautious of time limited goals too but it gives us something to work for and that's not a bad thing. One way or another when September rolls around you are going to be the smallest adult version of yourself that you have ever been and that's an incredible accomplishment.
Have a great week guys!
Christine

Thanks! In fact, I think I owe you personally an extra thank you for my recent success. You asked about my menu awhile back and specifically the lack of substance in the morning. It got me thinking about it, reading and I started adding protein to my morning coffee. I wasn't seeing the relation at first but since then I've been having great weekly losses and the only other thing I'm doing differently is walking less so.... Thank you!!

I love it too. We come here to find other people to relate to and learn from, and you've been a great example for me. You're setting the bar really high!!

Usually when I have been away, or had a sudden surge it weight- I know it is just bloating ...I didn't eat 10,000 extra calories to gain 3lbs over a weekend.... But the last couple of weeks I was up into my "Oh cr**"" zone which is anything out of the 160's.... Not feeling off track because of quantities, but wasn't having that big jump back downward I usually have like 3 days after being away....
I attribute it to stress of my son and family moving and eating- while low carb and high protein too many what I call faux carbs- protein pancakes and low carb mug cakes.... even though the calories and quantities were good- it is still not as good for my body as plain ole protein and veggies....
Highest: 420+

last week: 173
this week: 169

Edit it add: When I started this journey, I hadn't been below 300lbs in 30 years. The last time I was this weight was elementary school. I never thought I would go this far....and I don't think I would have if I didn't see the successful vets on OH.

Agreed. This board and members have been instrumental for me. Funny you should mention elementary school. When I say 232 is my lowest adult weight, realistically that should include most high school too. I'd be so curious to know what my childhood weights were....
