Hello,

I don't know if I've posted here since before surgery. Because of optifast, I actually dropped below the 50 BMI. I'm off work for 2 more weeks and feeling good. Today is 4 weeks since my surgery.

HW:294.5

SW: 281.3

LW: 264.8

TW: 261

I didn't have a regain after surgery and lost about 13 lbs in the first week. 2nd and 3rd week really slowed down. Just picked up 3 days ago. It wasn't a stall but it was agonizing.  The 3.8 lbs that came off from last week to this week actually happened over the last 3 days.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

77 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!

Hi everyone!!

next goal: anything lower

ok so this week I realized I'm rocking two of my New Years goals. I've been drinking 8oz before leaving the house regularly and even look forward to it. Also rocking the exercise and am working longer runs in to get to 5 miles. But for every good there is a bad-- after work grazing. Ugh. I tried limiting myself to 3 specific snacks- that's not working. I'm going to try employing the same drinking 8oz after work like I do in the morning before leaving. So instead of snacks or anything- just push liquids till dinner is ready. I really feel like this is keeping me from moving to the next level. I Tried to do it Friday and succumbed to the usual-- will try again Monday. Funny how this isn't a problem on weekends-- it's just after work-- it's like I'm using snacks to decompress from the work day. So either my job needs to change or my response to it. No hopes for a new job-- so I guess the focus will be on the response.

I also did the free personal trainer season at the gym. She had me do 3 set for weights- I'd only been doing 2. Wow- what a difference. I will do 3 sets from now on. She used some handheld thingy to determine my body fat- she got 37%. I told her a recent DEXA Scan gave me 31%. She said she never heard of Dexa. I thought it was weird for that she hadn't, being a trainer. She also taught be how to breath properly, exhale with the effort. I was inhaling with the effort. I'm not singing up with her-- but did find it useful to go through.

New week a ahead- new opportunities to improve! Be good all.

Way to go !!!!!ð?'

I am starting all over, again.  Well not all over.  I had lost 125 poinds, but just ended a relationship so i gained about 20 back.  I need to lose 140 more.  I am going to try just doing protein shakes for 3-4 days to get a jump start.  I'm a tad nervous because with 4 shakes a day that will be 60 csrbs !!  Eek,  i thought we weren't supposed to go over 20.

Welcome to the boards!

Its great that you Are getting back on track!

i would suggest checking out the daily menu threads on the RNY or Sleeve forum, to get an idea of what people are eating, as a great starting point!

Depending in how far out you are, going back to all liquid diet might not be realistic, if you get hungry and give in to cravings. Instead, I'd suggest doing a searching this site for AMAW. It's an all meat, all week challenge a lot of people do occasionally to get back on track.

In terms of carbs, that one varies a lot. I'm only 5 months out, and don't go over 25. Do you still have your plan from your centre? I'd suggest starting there.

In my case, those protein shakes are higher in carbs than I drink ( I use premiere protein). I don't know how far out from surgery you are, but I'd think getting your protein from dense protein sources is a better option. You'll lower your carbs, and have less hunger.

again welcome and keep posting and reading on the boards! It makes a huge difference!
