Weekly Weigh-In 30/01/17-05/02/17
Happy Monday weekly weighers,
Well, another week, another blechy weigh in for me....
i mean, two pounds, is two pounds gone for good, but I was spoiled the month of December! I'm sure it's just the way it goes, but I'm going to try and be a little more vigilant to see if I'm missing calories or carbs in my logging. See if there's room to tighten things up a bit.
I am happy my exercise routine is on point. And similar to other slow periods, I can tell I've lost inches, especially in my stomach and chest. Bye bye boobies....
HW: 378
LW: 269.5
TW: 267.5
Goals: under 267. Then, 253 which is 125 down. Then under 232, which is my lowest adult weight and the clinics estimate of where I'd land.

I am not in my happy place with my weight... My official weigh day is Wednesday... but it seems if I wait I forget to post....
I don't feel I am off the rails in anyway ...but I was sitting on the high end of my maintenance range, and my girlfriend asked me to go out to dinner Saturday for salad and pizza... salad and one slice of pizza up three pounds the next day. Really? That is why I don't like sitting at the high end...
That being said, I always say this is not a diet, it is life so you just keep pushing forward...
I guess what is bothering me is in November and December I was pretty steady- 165, 166, 167, 166.... since Christma**** having my son and family here for 2+ weeks, then one sickness after another, GERD acting up and my weight has been fluctuating wildly... from 165-172...sometimes Within the same week... Big fluctuations aren't good... want to get back to normal fluctuations within a couple of pounds. I am tall so I can gain 5lbs and no one notices and my clothes are fine... but I know, and face it I have a healthy fear of the slippery slope of regain.

Anything out of the 160's is my 'oh cr** ' number

I thought I had posted here already but I guess I failed to hit the submit button.
I've really started ramping up my activity level and I'm feeling pretty strong which is motivating. My sister got a Fitbit and now we're Fitbit friends, which I was unaware was a thing, but I'm excited for the added accountability and the friendly competition will be another great source of motivation. The scale was definitely not my friend this week but I've had good losses the past 3 weeks so I'm not surprised. It couldn't continue like that forever.

My eating was on track this week except for an encounter with some cashews that ended badly but that won't happen again. The threat has been removed from the house. The goal for this week is to stay focused on sticking to the plan and improve on my activity level over last week. Looking forward to seeing something in the 260's.

I figured I'd write an update since I was so whiny on Monday
Have been sticking to protein and green veggies, and maybe a protein drink or bar. and upping my flavored water- 2/3 water and 1/3 diet cranberry, Bai 5 or Powerade zero... I can easily drink plenty of fluids with just hot coffee and tea and an occasional protein drink...and no water....
So my official Wednesday weight: 168.8 (I usually round off...LOL...but want to see that 8 instead of 9)
Today: 167 even with eating out last night. So down 4lbs since Monday.
Since I prefer hot, when eating out, I had like 3 mugs of ho****er with lemon, like drinking an herbal tea. We were visiting for a long time, so did one before dinner, and two after I waited 30 minutes...
I record my eight every Wednesday... and as I said on Monday, I just want to get back to a steady mid-range in my maintenance and not all this bouncing around...
It is a continually learning journey...

A smidgen up, the scale had some lofty fluctuations this week. 193 is my current red alert #, so at least I'm not [too far] beyond that.
I lost focus a bit this week with my 110g protein goal mostly cause planning in a 5th meal to make that goal has been hard. I'm never hungry so if I wait to long between a meal I literally run out of time to get a 5th meal in. Still also working on controlling that after working snacking.
Today I think I'll try out swimming at my new gym. I'm anxious about all the clothing changes it's gonna make me do- but I've been dying to swim! Gotta dig out a swim suit now.
