Weekly weigh-in 09/01/17-15/01/17
Welcome to Monday!
well, I've knocked another goal off the list. I'm officially down 100 pounds. It's funny, it feels both surreal, and business as usual at the same time. Like: tick! Next!
well, next is 267. That's my most, kinda stable weight from my 20s. Then, 232, which is my lowest adult weight, also from my 20s, when I did weigh****chers. Between 267 and 232 is a big drop, I might have to come up with some in between goals there to break it up!
im a bit sentimental and saved the outfit I wore the first time I met my Now husband. I remember the skirt zipper didn't go all the way up, or was busted maybe? I'm going to dig it out today and try it on!
TMI portion of my post: I'm dealing with some wicked constipation. Liquids are good (like 4litre a day, usually more) I've been taking two doses of miralax daily since Friday, I take fiber supplements on the regular, and today decided to have caffeine coffee instead of my regular decaf. So I'll be climbing the walls shortly.
Open to any other suggestions! If nothing changes today, I'll be calling my doc. I think I'm on day 4 of no BM.

Erk about the bowels. At that point, I'd go for the enema. Sometimes you need to deal with things from the bottom up instead of the top down :/

Next goal: 150 for plastics
My plastics consult is scheduled for 2/14. Eek. Pretty sure I can't lose 22 pounds by then, but I'll get closer. Still working on getting my brain back in gear from the holidays. I stopped taking my Vyvanse for a week and WOAH, what a difference. And IMMEDIATE difference when I started taking it again. Medicated Gwen is definitely a Gwen I prefer.

Yeeeeah, that's the route I went. Interesting afternoon....
thats great that the Vyvanse is so effective. It's crazy how immediate some meds are. I take a low dose of concerta, and I was convinced it was a placebo effect haha.

I'm finally feeling better and I was able to stop eating bread thankfully. I was worried that after my IBS attack got better and my week of eating bread was not actually needed I would have difficulty going cold turkey. But I threw away the loaf and didn't look back. Big relief!
So i lost that that weight from the attack super suddenly and thought it would go back on pretty quickly too. But it's stayed off so far.

Congrats on the 100!! I agree that once I stated making it past goals, it was like- ok, next! I used to have rewards next to each goal- but lost interest in them over time. (Reality is I reward myself far more often :-)
While I have no advice to offer about your constipation, I'll say I've always found it interesting what people feel is abnormal in terms of days with out a BM. Four days makes me shrug- I think it would take 5-6 days for me to raise an eyebrow. In my (special) head constipation is more about the difficulty going, not the infrequency. Probably cause my limited experience has been with the difficulty going- which is a pain...literally.
Good luck clearing the pipes.

Oh man, Ive gone5-6 days Often post op, but it is not fun!. It's funny how different peoples insides are and experience is. By day three, I get low back pain and feel sluggish, and after day 4, typically a bit nauseous.
A few weeks ago I started taking fiber supplements on the regular (punny), and it worked amazing. Until last week, when the pipes just shut down haha. My problem has rarely been hard or painful BM, just slow, sluggish, doesn't know it isn't welcome type.
and same with rewards! I'm keeping my clothes buying to a minimum, but when I need something, I buy it. Same with aesthetic stuff. I thought about a big trip type reward when I reach final goal, but I don't have one hahahah, I'll just keep going until it stops is the plan right now.

I have been dealing with bathroom issues as well and it was an eye opener to read your take on it. Pre surgery I was very regular, every morning, no issues and I guess I've been pushing to get back to that when in reality maybe I just need to adjust my expectations about what "normal" is going to be going forward. If it persists for 4+ days it becomes problematic but if it's every few days and it's not painful what am I worried about? Thanks, I needed to hear that.

That's fantastic! Do you have a sense of what changed? Just the holidays being over with? Or something else?
