Weekly weigh in 26/12/12-01/01/17
Hi everyone,
Idont have access to my scale today, but wanted to kick off the post anyway, for those of you who are ready. I will post again tomorrow when I'm back home.I'm not super excited to weigh in though. My calories have been ok and protein is on point. What I'm eating is higher in sodium and i know I haven't been drinking enough water...
hope you are all enjoying the holiday!

Hello everyone.
I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday. We had a great Christmas with friends and family at my moms house and while there where no kids there it was nice to move around and get a chance to talk with everyone. I must admit I found myself more tempted than I expected to be. Not at dinner because I had a plan for that but during the in between times. My plan to simply avoid everything else was not as well received by my brain as I would have liked. I didn't give in, in fact I was proud of myself because when I felt I might I went to the fridge instead and grabbed a slice of deli ham. I'm already scared of maintenance but that added to the fears of how I'll handle those situations long term. Overall I would say I was successful but it was also a huge reminder that there's still a ton more work to do to prepare myself for the long term. The turkey at dinner was delicious and although I've never cooked one myself before I've decided I'll be trying it in the next few days. I also felt like I was slacking a little on my fluid intake. Not terribly but I wasn't paying as close attention as I needed to. Another thing to work on.
Back on the scale today and I'm inching closer to the goal I set in July to lose 100 lbs by the end of the year. I'm really hopeful I can have a good week and see that goal met but I'm also trying not to get too hung up on it if it doesn't happen. I'm so close I have to be proud of that.

Now that Christmas is over I need to add a whole lot more movement into my day. I feel like I've got myself in a good routine on the food side of things but improvements could be made in the exercise department. I think going forward I'll keep myself accountable here by logging my weekly activity along with my weight. I just caught myself pausing after I typed that thinking "Do I really want to commit myself to that??" but yes, yes I do. Whatever it takes to find the motivation on the days I just don't wanna. Hope you all have a great week.

I'm home for a day, then away again for a few days. I'm inching closer to my next goal of 278. It would be fun to get there before new year, but I'll be fine if not. Especially considering I won't be home, and will be having a whole other Christmas with my inlaws! And I am happy about this weeks loss considering I was away from home and even though I tracked every bite, I didn't have a scale, or prepare a lot of the meals.

I struggled this week - had a stressful week at work and for the first time since March 2015 turned to food. I ate a huge cookie and the next day at our work potluck I ate more than I should and ate a few sweets. I didn't feel good about it and I gained - I usually only weigh on Mondays but I was concerned so I weighed daily and I gained 2 pounds from eating like that. And I'm glad I did because it showed me that I can't loosen up on my rules. I mean - I did loosen up on vacation and was fine. But I can't do this on a regular basis.
However then I promptly got sick with a cold/flu combo and haven't wanted to eat so I lost the two pounds plus another. Which is not how I want to lose obviously!

I'm just 8 days out, but I want to get into the habit of posting here.
Hitting my water/protein goals with little problem, but only lost 1 pound since my surgery. Was happy to see it this morning though.

Hi, welcome to the weekly post!
8 days out I remember how rough that was- I was a slow loser in the beginning so keep at it! That's so great you're hitting your water/protein goals with no problem, that's the key. Just keep doing that and you'll be good.

Thanks!
Meeting my goals hasn't been a problem, but the scales were just stuck. Lost another pound overnight though so I'm beginning to see some change. :)
My trial drive yesterday to Safeway & P.O. went great. 6 miles round trip, tired at the checkout after shopping, but no pain. I'm driving my daughter to work tomorrow, then myself to my follow up with my PCP!
