I find the "point whatever" part of my weigh-ins hilarious actually. On the one hand I'm thinking I'm almost 300 lbs does the fraction of a pound really matter but yes it does!! I'm not going to round down because I haven't earned it and I'm not going to round up cause damn it I worked hard for that fraction!! Lol. Oh boy, such a mind game.

After my post yesterday I started writing out some goals for myself. So far it's just scale goals but I have a lot of non scale goals in my head that I have yet to commit to paper, maybe later today. After reading Gwen's post about her goals I realized that having them in my head is too wishy-washy, I need to see it in black and white.

So...at my first clinic weigh in I was 386 although I know I've been heavier than that in my life. My first goal was to reach 336 (50 lbs lost) and the next was to reach 309 (my first weigh in at a different clinic in 2009 after losing about 100 lbs on my own). I got to both of those before surgery, kinda lol, I was 309.8 the morning of surgery but it felt like a win. The next goal would be getting into the 200's and then 286 (100 lbs lost). After that I have a bit of a gap, I don't have another target until 236 (150 lbs lost) and then 220 which is the lowest I reached in 2009 after losing on my own for awhile and then following that up with a 3 month Optifast program. This is where I start to enter dreamland... under 200, followed by 193 (half of my starting weight), 186 (200 lbs lost) and then 175 (overweight not obese). I think having a bunch of closer together targets at those lower numbers will be helpful when things aren't happening as quickly as they will in the beginning.

Congrats on your success so far. You'll see 290.0 any day now!!

Mini goals were everything for me! I didn't think about them ahead of time except the biggies - 100 lost etc. but each time I hit a goal I would set a new mini one. It made me feel like I was accomplishing something each time and since I had so much to lose and it would take me so long the mini goals got there much sooner. For me so so helpful!

good luck and keep posting here! We're not always super active but I find it very helpful to be accountable to others.

Hi!!

hw- 337

lw 192.2

tw 194.2

i average my weekly weight, so while it looks like I gained, really I had an abnormal low last week and a high this week. Basically I'm hanging tough around 193, down from a long stint at 195. 193 is now my new comfort zone- still want to lose but I'm perfectly happy otherwise.

Next goal is an overweight bmi. I've been running outdoors still, I think this weekend I'll need to run inside. Cold and bad weather anticipated.

I ate 50% crap today- but it was planned and I'll carry on as usual tomorrow. I'm more worried about the weather affecting my exercise!
