Weekly Weigh In 12/14-12/20
As I'm sure others have experienced the same thing, my journey to surgery and weight loss has been a series of ups and downs and i do mean the scale. between Nov 2007 and March 2009 i lost 110 lbs with the help of a medically supervised program. But because funds ran out (not paid by insurance) and i hadn't done the mental work needed, i promptly gained it back and then some, leading to my all-time high of 473 in July 2013. Today i am wearing many of the same clothes i did in 2009 and i weigh roughly the same as i did then.
I am so scared that this is where it will end. It doesn't help that yesterday the scale said 351 and today its 8/10th lbs higher. i know its not a full pound and i know logically we fluctuate depending on just about everything. But i have these thoughts then i get a validation. I'm only 3 months out (surgery date 9/21/15) and i am so darn proud of the progress i've made. I was trying on old clothes last night and the shorts i saved from 2009 fit me now. I did get rid of the shorts i was wearing this past summer. I think i just needed to express my fears. I know they aren't logical, but who ever said a food addict was logical!!!
