I seem to go in phases as far as my weight is concerned. Right now I am maintaining pretty easily, thank goodness. The holidays usually kill me, but I know I will lose it again in the spring so I don't worry about it anymore. I believe walking makes this whole maintenance thing much easier for me. I hate exercise but know for my physical and mental health, I need to stay active. If you are not exercising, I hope you will find something active you love to do and just do it!!

My stats:

  • 5'7" tall, 49 years old, 7 years post-RNY
  • Highest Weight: 339 (BMI=53)
  • Goal Weight: 140 (my Weigh****chers Lifetime goal weight from 1990)
  • Current Weight: 138 (BMI=22)

Here is a picture I took this morning. Sometimes I need a picture to remind myself that I am doing OK. The mental part is still the hardest.

I was on vacation visiting friends in Arizona last wee****pt eating on plan (which I don't even like to say because to me it's just the way I eat now) and everything stayed on track weight wise. I am LOVING the new scale and the fact that my visceral fat keeps going down. It's my new favorite thing to track. It's down to 7!!

Highest weight - 327

Last week - 183

This week - 180

Next goal - 177

I see there are quite a few models, which one do you have? I actually went for a dexascan today to check my body composition. It is supposed to be one of tbe most accurate ways to get your body fat. Interestingly it said I only had 1.6 lbs of visceral fat. You might have less than you think. I didnt even know they could measure that.

I read on here about someone going for one. I felt it might help me set a realistic goal weight.

I have the BC554. It doesn't measure the visceral fat in pounds, they assign it a rating. The rating scale goes from 0-59. A rating between 0 and 12 is considered healthy.
