Still unemployed, and I just found out that my old work is contesting my unemployment claim so I'm super stressed. I've gone on about 4 interviews in the last 4 weeks and I'm waiting to hear back from one of them this week so I'm really hoping I hear something good!

That stinks! Why are they contesting it? Just know the unemployment benefits are in your favor... Good for you for sticking with your plan.

Sorry they are countering your claim. I work in HR and often represent the my job for claims we are contesting. I too often see employees come to the hearing unprepared and overwhelmed by how formal the process is. If you can use a lawyer, I would. Otherwise, make sure your ducks are in a row. Have all the documentation you need to prove your case, and make sure you have copies that can be kept. Leave emotion at home.
Congrats on the losd despite of it all!

So sorry they're contesting it. I know on my job usually they contest unemployment claims when the person was fired for cause., like getting caught "dirty", when they were being monitored for staying "clean", etc, etc. Hope you find something soon.

I didn't have a job where they did drug tests or anything - although I would have been clean lol - and I wasn't stealing - I worked from home! They fired me and it was pretty contentious at the end, my boss hated me A LOT and wanted me gone, tried to get me to quite, but I wouldn't because I needed a job. So IMO they're contesting it to be petty.
But in the 6 months since surgery I still haven't cheated once so I feel good about that! Although I have been craving sweet things lately, I've been looking for recipes to curb that craving but haven't found anything just right yet.
Good luck, mute! And awesome job staying on track even with the high stress levels!

Well I'm still steppin, yay me! My back for some reason is bothering me, I hate when that happens. I might be carrying too much on my back when I ride to work, it's a short ride, but this time I went for a longer ride in the park after work & against the wind at that, not really used to that. Well anyway my stats so far:
