Next goal - 213 - it will give me the next jump to 170  lost, and I think it will finally put me out of being obese!!

Even though I get my 64oz in am going to try and up fluids... and I realized this week, this is a weight I have been to many times in my journeys and usually haven't gotten past... so maybe I am fighting some of that 'setpoint' stuff where my body likes where it is...

It's interesting you bring up the weight set-point.  I lost a lot of weight back in 2002 with Weigh****chers and maintained at exactly the weight I am right now for a couple of years before ballooning back up again.  I need to focus and push through, because it's mentally hard right now more than anything else.

My weigh-in day is tomorrow, so we'll see what the scale has to say.

Hey Gwen - thanks for this post - it's nice to see fellow "heavyweights" doing well :)

I am up 5 lbs over where I want to be, and I seem to stay here whether I eat well or poorly.  Part of me wonders if this is just where my body has settled, but then a bigger part of me knows I need to increase my workouts, decrease my carbs, and lose these 5 lbs.  Nothing is more terrifying than a slow weight creep to me!

Next Goal: 160

I am sorry you are dealing with your dad having cancer - that's a lot of stress and anxiety for sure.  I will be thinking of you, and him.

Aw, thanks.  It's been challenging to say the least.  And I start college as a full time student in 1.5 weeks which seems like it might be foolishness with everything that's going on.

You will conquer this 5 pounds, I'm sure of it.  You totally know what to do and how to get there!

I'm down to 357 today (surgery weight was 401 June 22nd).  The doctor and nutritionist are pleased with the progress.  I wi**** was faster, but don't we all?  Heh.  My weight in May was 429, so I've lost quite a bit since, I suppose.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
