I am excited your day is finally here. Hope everything went fine and you are in a drug induced sleep. I don't think I was awake for more than 3 hours total the first day. I would wake up, say something stupid to my family and drop out again. At least that is what they tell me. Everyday my husband changes the story, it is now the family joke. I don't know who to belive. Hope to hear about your progress tomorrow.

The first two days in the hospital was great I didn't feel any pain because of the iv pain me meds. For a couple of days after getting home was very rough i wish i had someone here to remind me when to take the meds because when you get behind it's rough chasing the pain isn't a joke and drinking is very hard I have to force myself I'm not hungry for the first time in my entire life. But I really have been forcing the fluids because I don't want to be dehydrated. I went to the bathroom so much for two day's after surgery I was loaded with iv fluids and very concerned i couldn't drink. But here day four I'm way better thanks for the concern. One other thing ive been incredibly lonely. Everyone is either busy or on vacation. I could use some company. So advice if your having surgery have someone there to help especially the first few days.

It sounds like you are on the road to doing great! No worry for me to have someone home with me as my husband is here all the time and practically attached to my hip. He will be the same when I have WLS, if not worse.

Sounds like you're going through a lot of the same things I am. But I'm glad to be home and done. Pain meds are a life saver right now.
Try to stay positive. Make some phone calls if you have time. Being lonely can be terrible, especially right now. But it sounds like you are headed down the path to a healthier you. Good luck Elia!!
