8 months ago  I began this journey with a bmi of 59, as of today it is 39!!!!!  When I walked into my surgeon's office and decided to get real, I almost passed out when they told me my bmi was 59. After six years of failure with the lapband I didn't believe it was possible to ever get my bmi under 40 again, let alone 8 months later!! I feel so blessed and fortunate to have been given this tool as well as the strength and fortitude to use it!

Thank you for the advise! Not taking your vitamins after having any type of malabsorption procedure is like having an organ transplant and not taking the anti-rejection medicine!  It would cause obvious problems in either case.  I hope your friend now realizes this is is on her way back to good health.
