Buying furniture at BMI 50+
I have what's called a "chair and a half." I am significantly shorter (5'6"), but right around the same weight. La-Z-Boy has a few options in the chair and a half style. I got a cheaper chair, and I'm only so so happy with it. I didn't realize when I bought it that the top stays back all the time, so I have to sit here loaded up with cushions. There are also large recliners with a power lift. The chair reclines with a button instead of the user having to pull a lever. I had one of those after a leg injury, and it was awesome.
If you look at the left hand menu bar, you can see power as an option. They also have the chairs divided by width:

The chair and a half are under the regular chairs, not recliners.
I had the chair and a half and found it difficult to manage. I am a big girl 513 pounds but because of its width I couldn't comfortably grab either side to steady myself, or grab the lever to help close it. Now, if they have them that are electric it might be no big deal but that was just my experience.
I do think Brylane home has plus sized furniture, or if you google furniture for morbidly obese, items will come up.

One stop plus has a "plus sized living" category under "home" that has furniture for obese people.
