Hello to the group! I am new here!
Welcome!! Congrats on your date. The first year will be a whirlwind. The mental part is the hardest. Just remember it does get easier.

Hello semi twin!!! Glad to hear from you as our surgeries are so very close. If I am up to it, i will send you an update on my surgery after i have it and let you know what day 1 post-op is like!!! I am very ready for this surgery, I have read and read all the paperwork my Dr gave me, the nutritionist, the therapist, the physiologist, and everybody else on his team. they have given me tons of good reading!! How are you doing so far?? do you feel like you have all your ducks in a row and ready to take that big plunge??
yes I am very ready and very excited for my surgery I've had my ducks in a row for quite a while now. I just had my post op instructions for the diet the other day and am just counting down the days.
What do you think will be your biggest challenge after our surgery ? How have you been doing over there ?
I think my biggest challenge is going to be portion control! i know that i can only eat an ounce or two at a time, and taking it slow slow to get that in within 15minutes or more; but i haven't wrapped my head around the fact that i can't be grazing along here and there and wanting food over fluids!! I'm like you, just waiting and counting down the days, i have a Jan/Feb calendar posted on my refrigerator and mark off each day as it passes!! not much longer now! but i have to get out later today and buy me a pj set and gown with slippers; mine i have now are almost tatters as i can't go shopping except where the store has a powerchair that i can ride in (unable to walk more than about 20' without huffing and puffing and severe pain in my low back with muscle spasms... i've rattled on enough about me....what all do you plan to take to the hospital, are you on a cpap machine?
