Getting back to work has helped. I'm not bored out of my mind and ready to graze on anything available. And of course eating seared ahi as my protein for a few days can't hurt

Thanks for asking! Some roadblocks, but I'm chugging along. What really helps so much is the thought that I should be "B" student. "A" levels are not required.
I had my first round of appointments in late Nov - early Dec.
- Nut recommended I do shakes and 2 Lean and greens. I find that I really like the Premier Protein ready mixed, as I can just grab one and not fuss. Long term I will want to enjoy meal prep, but now I like the convenience.
I had my 2nd visit with her before Christmas and I was down 13 lbs. She gave me more ideas of what works for lean proteins.
She was pleased with how well I stuck to the plan. Even my outside additions were not to be ashamed of. A snack of protein cereal or an apple was acceptable - a "B".
From Christmas until last week I was have trouble with late night eating. I also found that when I don't have liquid shakes handy, I'll put off the scheduled snack, which I know from my old Medifast days leads to being cold and hungry for carbs. SAD is also a factor, esp. here in the Pac NW. Today is sunny, so swimming plus endochron is on today's agenda.
Back to food, I started tracking last week after overindulging in a DQ Flamethrower on my birthday and then getting sick from it (diarrhea, cold and sleepy.)
Program shrink had WLS himself. He gave me a good suggestion about motivation - surround yourself with positive imagery. Pictures of what tou want to when weight is not a burden. I do need a note from my current shrink that she will keep seeing me.
The appointment clerk had not told me to come in fasting, so I needed to return for labs. Then that morning I work with a migraine, so missed the lab appt and Nut. I rescheduled the Nut but asked to do labs locally in Salem, not drive to PDX without coffee. Yay for asking for what I need!
NP and PT seem happy with my health level. as my Dad might joke "you're in pretty good shape for a fat girl".
Nut says we might move up surgeon consult.
Off to pool....
It sounds like most everything is going really well!
I've got SAD also and full spectrum lights in the house REALLY help me. I've also figured out where I can stop in town for acceptable snacks in a pinch. We have Wawa here (they're like convenience/gas stores) and I can always get cheese sticks there, for example!
