Please stay active in the bariatric community
There are a lot of people here under 2 years out. My plea to you is to PLEASE stay active in the bariatric community. Either here, support groups, SOMETHING. I have seen too many people in my 7 years here come and go. Some people who leave are busy living active lives and do not have time for us anymore but the majority think they have everything under control and then crash and burn. Do not let that happen to you!!

Excellent post Laura. I hope that anyone who is struggling is not ashamed to reach out for support. During my long period of indecision, I see that people who continue to post regularly seem to stay on track much better. Partly accountability ("I want to be successful so I can post about it") but I think also that involvement with the WLS community is part of the total lifestyle shift that we need to be successful.
Reach out for help, encouragement and to pay it forward.
Good advice!
