Let's share!
I was scared to death to have it done, and I only did them one at a time, but I am so glad that I had it done! I can walk without pain for the first time in over 15 years. They still do that funny popping (that either stops or you just get used to... I'm not sure which, LOL) and I do still get some occasional stiffness in the most recently replaced one, but a few minutes of ice and I am good to go!

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I began the process for VSG surgery through Dr Lord at Sacred Heart in Pensacola, Florida. Then my mom and I moved from Panama City Beach to South Georgia, so I had to change insurance information and find a new surgeon. The closest that my insurance will cover is in Atlanta so I am making an appointment with Dr Paul Macik after the beginning of the year. I had already taken nutrition classes and met with the psychiatrist, so its kind of depressing to start over. I have until September to have this surgery and have another procedure to have a deviated septum repaired and my tonsils removed. This will be one life changing year!
Hi! I'm new to this forum, but have been "stalking" topics as I learn about WLS. I have started the process of appointments and getting ready for surgery.
