Chair Exercises
I had surgery on 5/14 and have lost 26 pounds since then. I have mobility problems, so exercise is an issue for me. It was recommended that I do "Chair Exercises" - I looked some up on YouTube - did one this afternoon. It lasted about 25 minutes and was quite doable.
I do plan on checking out a gym to see what they have available that I can handle - but in the meantime, it looks like these chair exercises are worthwhile. The one I did just called for a chair, two soup cans, and a pillow. It was fun to do.
That's fantastic! You might consider getting in touch with local senior centers, they tend to have fitness classes geared toward people who have mobility concerns, so that might be an option for you! Also, places with pools tend to offer water aerobics which might also be worth looking into!

I belong to the YMCA and they have chair yoga. I have done it quite often. At first I was doing it alone, now I use it as a warm up for the regular yoga class. It is not hard on your joints and if they have a position that requires standing you always have the chair to use for balance. All the yoga instructors are very informative and give alternatives for people who can't get to a position. Plus, it is fun.
