it's been FOREVER since I've been here, but I realized I had a message or two waiting, so thought I'd better check in.

So, in total, I'm down 175 lbs...100 pre-surgery and 75 since surgery. Yay me. I've had my first consult with the plastic surgeon (in spite of still having about 25 lbs to go before I hit goal), and will be getting a breast lift/reduction with upper body lift, abdominoplasty and probably a thigh lift. Because of finances and work commitments and all that, will likely take 2.5-3 yrs to complete all the surgeries since I can only do one at a time due to potential clotting issues.

Life is good - I'm riding my bike regularly, working with a trainer on my upper body strength, gardening in a 200 sq ft community plot and managing some large projects at work. Osteoarthritis is soooooo greatly improved (if not gone, still can't crouch or squat worth a damn), sleep apnea all but gone (my only comorbidities).

Hope everyone here is doing well :)

Congrats!! Plastic surgery is the fun part- a reward for a job well-done.

What order is your surgeon suggesting you do the surgeries??

wow.  It sounds like you are doing great.  thanks for posting.  This is inspiring to hear.  Keep us posted on the plastics.  They are in my future, as well.

best wishes,

Because I have had clotting issues in the past he won't combine surgeries, so there may be four of them!

im starting with a breast reduction/lift this winter. It's the only surgery I don't have to self-pay, so that buys me some time to find $$ for the others.

After that is the abdominoplasty, and if I want or need them the thigh/lower body lift & upper body lift with a bit more breast reconstruction.

Because of my job, I can really only manage surgeries in the winter so it's going to take me a few years to become FrankenNikkal :)
