Ive been on a crazy coaster, but it's over now!
I am so sorry ive been gone for so long! I miss my friends here. I wanted to come give you guys an update.
I just recently completed a 5 weeks inpatient trauma recovery program (for PTSD) and it was very intensive therapy. It really changed my life in the best way possible. I had no idea what my underlying trauma was doing to me mentally and physically. I had been on this downward spiral - completely depressed and angry and self destructive. I went crashing into rock bottom, but it was perfect timing.
The best part is that after fighting kaiser for a year on my back, i finally changed insurance, went through a few more "we cant help you", but then landed the absolute best team of doctors. Im finally getting the back surgery I need next week - yikes! Im excited and nervous as hell.
I am a super bad ass fighter, and im in the process of losing my regain weight (50 lbs from 10/2012-12/2013. I will be reaching my goal, one year or another :)
(i posted a more detailed post in the VSG forum yesterday as well)
