My 1 yr post op yesterday...
Hey there Denise,
Welcome to the board:-). I appreciate your comments. I don't think I look sickly or malnourished and I don't feel it. My labs tell me im fine just need to up the protein. I think they are all still adjusting and they have to realize that I am too and its much harder on me than them lol...So, im doing me.
I went to that Salv Army in a neighboring town and racked up!!! I could have bought so much more lol but I stopped at 5 pair of jeans...all size 8 and 3 pair of designer jeans including Apple Bottoms...ooh yea! Highest price was 3.25. I also found a beautiful table cloth and 4 linen napkins in a pretty easter pink...2.99. I ended up going to Catos and found 3 tops all clearance but summer, very odd...all under 7.99 and a size Med!!!! I bought the only sz 8 pair of jeans they had. Then my daughter/fiancée and gbaby came to get me and we went to Old Navy...clearance for me lol. I found a long sleeve cardi for 10.99. I need them for work as its freezing in the ofc and summer will kill me! I let my gbaby pick out 2 shirts and pair of shorts for summer along with some candy and he was a happy camper. We went over to Dots as they are going out of business and I picked up 2 pair long/walking shorts/Bermuda type for 6.20/pr sz 8. Im done buying jeans for now lol. I have 7 pair. I still need some summer tops and long shorts along with capri leggings for working out and bicycling...oooh and a bathing suit. Im curious if this last 13 lbs will take me into another size or leave me where I am which im totally fine with. Time will tell.
Cardio released me back to work Fri so tomorrow im finishing up with cleaning out the closet and hanging summer clothes, relaxing and watching gbaby for a few hours. He said to wait another 2 weeks before I start weights or other exercise, keep the G2 with me and go easy. I will do as Im told. He said hes hoping this means the orthostatic hypotension is going away. Time will tell.
So, I feel better in every way and am ready to re join the working world.

I was SO HAPPY to read about your shopping!! I smiled and smiled. Good for you. Enjoy stylin' and profilin' in your new outfits :)
What shall I return to the Lord for all his bounty to me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord, I will pay my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful ones.
O Lord, I am your servant; I am your servant, the child of your serving girl. You have loosed my bonds. -- Psalm 116:12-16
Good for you for treating yourself!! You look great. People will get used to you at your new weight. Just tell them your doctors are keeping a close eye on you. I am 5.58 years out and never get comments about being "too thin". Thin, yes, but never too thin.
Hang in there. Glad to hear your health issues are getting resolved, too.
