is a goal of 190 silly?
I don't think it's silly! My first major goal is "just get under 200." And 180 is my "if I make it here, I'll consider myself to be a success." I have an ultimate goal that puts me in the middle of "normal" but it feels so far fetched to me in these pre-op over 50 BMI days.
So I think 190 is great. I also think you might adjust your goal once you're close. Goals don't have to be etched in stone, right? They can be moving targets as we reassess :)

I don't think it makes you look lazy at all! My starting weight was 351 and my doctor told me the Farmer's Almanac would put me (at 5'4") with an ideal weight of something like 140. I set my own goal, kind of randomly, at 170. I have had good losses since surgery, and I am incorporating exercise in a major way, so I do feel I can get to 200. I guess I will revisit my goal then. By NO means does going from 383 to 190 make you LAZY! In fact, it makes you a major freaking success story!!!!
Not silly at all. I picked a weight of 165 and I am 5'4". And it must not be too far off, because even though at 163lbs my BMI is 28, my body fat percentage is 28, which is not too shabby. I decided I would also pick a body fat percentage to aim for in addition to a goal weight. You can always adjust your goal if you want.
