Monday weigh-in
LW: 168 TW: 167 -1
Don't know if it's my continuing stress level or just being > I year postop or what, but bad old eating habits are trying hard to creep back into my daily life. I've had white-knuckle moments every day for a couple of weeks now. This is worth hanging onto, though, so I keep fighting. Somewhere along the line I have to increase my calories and go for maintenance, which kinda scares me to pieces. Thanks for listening. :)
Keep fighting, Nancy! It's worth it. Whenever I start to have those white knuckle moments, I take a look at my "before" photos, and that reminds me that I am just one bite away from going back down that road. I don't know if that will help you or not but I hope it does.
I am not good with the initials (LW/TW/etc). I have started weighing myself every two weeks instead of once a month. So here are some of my numbers:
11/1/12 (highest weight): 498 pounds (2 weeks pre-op)
11/13/12 (surgery date): 473 pounds
11/15/13: 232 pounds
12/2/13: 224 pounds, down 8 pounds in the last two weeks! :-) Yay, I'm so happy!
I have lost 274 pounds since 11/1/12. Sometimes I have to pinch myself. I am so grateful and overjoyed and truly thankful for my surgery. I am convinced that my surgeon and the RNY saved my life.
I hope everyone else is doing well. Keep up the good work. And to anyone who is struggling or questioning their decision/journey, just keep going. Don't quit. Don't surrender. You are worth the fight.

I'm totally ok with that gain. Between Thanksgiving (where I actually did pretty well) and all of the fluid retention from our IVF cycle, I'm shocked not to be up more. So this is good :) I don't expect a loss next week either, but maybe the week after that if I don't get pregnant. If I don't get pregnant, I really would like to hit my surgeon's goal of 200 before the month is out. Then I can start 2014 trying to hit my personal goal, whatever I make that.
Highest Weight: 339; Goal Weight:140
Last Week 138; This Week: 136
My goal is to stay under 140 through the holidays. Last year by January 1st I got up to 143 and completely freaked out. It too****il spring to get back under 140. I think my body hold on to weight in the winter so I am trying to avoid that this year. So far so good!!

Hi Everyone,
Last week - 229
This week 227
Down two pounds, and I'm happy. I'm getting a glimmer that I may actually make it to under 200 pounds before I'm done. It is unbelieveable to me. I weighed 385 just one year ago, and I thought I'd never see 350 again, much less 200! What a trip this has been. Have I mentioned that I love my sleeve?
best wishes,
Carol

Nancy I think it must be struggle december lol. I to am having a hard time, but today I was at work in the restroom and as I was washing my hands I looked up into the mirror, which i never do cause I never liked the image and I couldn't believe how small I looked. Even though it can get excruciately difficult sometimes, it is true, nothing tastes as good as thin and also confidance feels. So i hope that everyone that is struggling has an easier week and I hope good losses for you all :)
Happy December Everyone:-)
