Weight Loss Stall

I've got the weight loss stall blues. I know everybody hits that first stall at 2-4 weeks. I hit mine a little early. I haven't lost ANY weight since the 9th. I've been sticking to the mushy food diet like a pro, getting 400-600 calories every day, 50-70 grams of protein, and trying to get my walking in every day, but I just can't get to the other side of this stall. Anyone have any advice on shortening the stall?

How are your fluids?  Anywhere near your surgeon's plan suggestion/requirement?

Admittedly, I'm not doing great on my fluids. Most days I get around 44 oz. I know I need to get better about that. Will lack of fluid stop weight loss?

My own experience and the reading I've done here on OH all tell me that getting those fluids in is necessary.  Try for at least 64 oz each day, but definitely try for more if you can.  I can tell you that I kept my hydration up with water or decaf liquids and also ate pretty low-carb, and the weight came off steadily and reasonably quickly.

Hang in there!  Those fluids can be the toughest part of our postop plans to manage. To this day I follow my surgeon's early postop plan and eat four relatively equal meals a day, with my fluids going in before, between and after my meals.  You have to plan for the fluids just as you plan your food.  :)

I agree, definitely get more fluids, try mixing up your protein sources and getting a little more, if you can. I also try to not weigh myself everyday. There are gonna be stalls and ups and downs on your journey and weighing everyday can sometimes make me go crazy. You'll get through this. :-)
