First surgeon consult:  7/09/12

Surgery date:  11/21/12, so about 4.5 months.  It took that long because my insurer made me have a total of three nutrition visits, each 30 days apart.

Hi Q! I think my VSG journey is kind of backwards from other people. I had to do the 6 months of dieting, get a psych evaluation, get approved for surgery from the insurance, and attend the pre-op class BEFORE even meeting with my surgeon the first time. Now that we've gotten it all straightened out, though, my surgery is scheduled for Tuesday. I know about the nerves, but when I had my surgical consult, and we scheduled a date, I felt like I got my life back! I could all of a sudden see the path to getting healthy. Good luck!
