My Introduction!
VSG on 11/21/12 with
First surgeon consult: 7/09/12
Surgery date: 11/21/12, so about 4.5 months. It took that long because my insurer made me have a total of three nutrition visits, each 30 days apart.

Hi Q! I think my VSG journey is kind of backwards from other people. I had to do the 6 months of dieting, get a psych evaluation, get approved for surgery from the insurance, and attend the pre-op class BEFORE even meeting with my surgeon the first time. Now that we've gotten it all straightened out, though, my surgery is scheduled for Tuesday. I know about the nerves, but when I had my surgical consult, and we scheduled a date, I felt like I got my life back! I could all of a sudden see the path to getting healthy. Good luck!

Hey girl! I'm in the Dallas area too! WHOOOPPP WHOOOOPPP! Lmbo
we are close in age (I'm 22), and I am having surgery on the 31st! It is so exciting that I am starting a new chapter in my life with Grad school and I am getting summer time fine in the winter time (and healthy!!) I AM GOING TO BE SO BOMB AT THE WHITE COAT CEREMONY NEXT JULY! Things like that keeps me optimistic and motivated. Good luck on your journey, and remember ITS BETTER NOW THAN NEVER
