Scale obsessed
You are not crazy. I'm sure you've heard that everyone loses at different rates and it is true. its a function of how you heal, what you eat and your activity level. Being 3 weeks out and losing 10 lbs is probably right on target. Over my entire weight loss periods I averaged about 2.5 lbs. Cant compare this literally since you are a woman (i'm a man), you had VSG (I had RNY), different start weights etc. What is important is that you are losing. Follow the plan and get activity in even if its just walking 20 minutes down the road or some other activity if walking is a problem.
By all measure my weight los is fast fast fast, but look at this picture over a month
It might as well be a straight line right? Well it's not. A lot of folks post up that this journey is made up of many many steps. I couldn't agree more. By staying on plan you will see the results come and then if you look at the overall you will be losing big!! Check this out
This is what that straight line looks like over the entire time. Look at my highest and how it looks like a drop off a cliff. Those drops are made up of weeks and months of little incremental changes. Hard to see here, but look for all the little jagged lines? Those are the times where my weight bounced around. Its hard for us to celebrate when we dont see immediate results. It can take days for you to see changes other times you will see a woosh or a swoosh or rapid loss that you never expected.
What I am saying is stay on plan and it will come. Keep asking for feedback and talking through this stuff, after all we are all going through it and need reassurance but keep the faith. You are already on your way to goal.

Thank you! Thank you!
For taking the time out and explaining it to me and for your encouragement, I feel like I am whining on the inside and if I write a post about it it is whining on the outside. (LOL) I do not have many people on the outside that understand what I am going through and It is hard when you can not let what you feel out.

I don't have any advice regarding the scale issue. I weigh myself every morning and can really get caught up in feeling frustrated when it doesn't move... I'm actually going through a period of that right now.
What I can say is that if you want the scale to move, you must, must must find a way to get in more protein. 40 grams is definitely not enough and it's crucial to get that 64 oz (better to have way more) of water as well.
I think you'll find that if you get those two numbers up.... the number on the scale will go down. Treat getting in protein/water like it's your job!

I'm 5 years out and still weigh everyday, but I have made peace with the scale and it does not bother me. If it does drive you crazy, trying for once a week sounds reasonable. Hang in there!!

Today is day 3 that I didn't weigh myself and man is this hard lol I think it's especially hard to because I am having a down in the dumps kind of week and not only is it making me want to weigh myself every second, it's making me want to binge. But I know that the mood will lift eventually and I don't want to make myself feel worse on a day where I could've felt better. I have to make it to Nov 2nd before I weigh myself again, god help me lol
