Last Nut visit & waiting for approval

I had my 6th & last NUT appt and now just waiting on insurance approval. Surgeon tentatively scheduled my RNY for Nov. 7th. I am getting nervous about the surgery & being successful. I don't want to mess this up!!

HW = 370

SW = 322

GW = 180

Congrats!! Insurance letter was sent one week and three days ago for me. The wait is killing me. They said it'd take a week or two, but I just want to know now! :)

I won't be scheduling my VSG until I get approval. Good luck to you!

So exciting! My insurance approval came pretty quick. I'm scheduled for Oct 7 and I have a pre-op class at the hospital tomorrow morning. When I got the approval letter, I had a feeling of "Oh my goodness, this is really happening!" Good luck to you!

That's good news! Use this valuable preop time to do your research, read up on how other successful RNYers have lost and maintained their losses, and you should be go to go! You can also change up some of your eating and drinking habits now if you haven't started already.

Thanks Nancybefree!! I have been Changing my eating habits since the start of my 6 month supervised diet, so that has been super helpful and insightful!! I also really enjoy OH and have learned so much from everyone along with the research I have done on my own.

I get so excited when I hear of people getting their approvals or waiting for the final steps! I pray for the friends and acquaintances as they go through the process for patience and understanding! For the knowledge or not only them but the doctors and healthcare professionals. For their family and friends! For the present times but also the long term as the newness wheres off and the goals are hit to the long term bigger picture!
