It's been a rough couple of days at work.  The proverbial cherry on top was falling into a sunken concourse on my way to interview a client.  I miss-stepped and landed on my knee first and then hip and arm.  My left leg is insanely swollen but I'm sure it's just the trauma/sprain and nothing serious.  Wiping out is embarrassing at any time but add being 350 lbs, nearly losing my pants (I was wearing comfy pants d/t my period) and I"m sure my striped underwear was visible.

I'm looking forward to a day where when "the bigger they are, the harder they fall" isn't ME!

you should probably get your leg checked out , to make shore you didn't crack anything

falling is a big problem for us heavy weight , where out of balance and when we fall there is so much weight behind it it is easy to get hurt

Oh no!!! Hope you are ok and not in too much pain!!

I have to tell you - these things just dont get any less embarassing. I was on a date the other day - and went to starbucks. Sat in a metal chair and one of the legs broke off. If there was "******g shoot me or kill me instantly" button, I would have pushed it.  I laughed at it later because I really dont think I had anything to do with the chair breaking....but it was mortifying.

Thanks Al, I needed that! I couldn't find the shoot me now button either . It's funny because with heavy legs, you can't usually 'see' my knee cap, you can now!

I'll see my family doc in the morning and I won't be surprised if something is cracked. Just glad it wasn't the floor.

I feel for you.  A year ago I went to my sons Sixth grade orientation.  It was in the gym so his whole class and there parents sat on the bleachers.  I went up three flights turned around and lost my balance and fell head over heals all the way back down to the gym floor....split my pants too.  Embarrassing isn't the word for it.  Hope nothings broken....I know my ankle was sore for like a week after that.

sorry everyone, I should have updated.  Sometimes I forget that there are people who do care.

Nothing cracked, just a lot of bruising.  It doesn't help that I'm on blood thinners either so the bruising is extensive.  Moving around is getting easier so I am on the mend.

Thanks for the kind thoughts!
