Hello everybody, I am a 32 y/o male who's BMI is 51.7. I am is 6'2 feet i started dieting almost a month ago at 388 lbs and till now i lost around 13 lbs. I don't want to do a surgery and i am willing to go on a long term diet yet i am feeling stuck with my weight for the last week. I exercise at least 3 days a week, are there any ideas why i am stuck and how to overcome it? Thanks:)

I am also doing it the non surgerical way so maybe I can help a little.  I think it's important to exercise more days of the week.  I personally exercise every day, but I know they do say that 5 days would be okay.  And you want to mix it up and do different types of exercises so you are working your whole body.  I'm curious about your diet, being that you're male and your weight that should make you lose faster, especially in the beginning.  I'm female and I started at 364 on April 15th and now I'm 311, so it can work.  Maybe you could provide us with some more information.

first thing to do is measure everything that goes in your mouth , use a scale, cup, ruler  what ever

everything is always more than you think

then track it , I use myfitnesspal.com

you probably want to eat around 1200 Cal and 65 gm protein

 protein shakes help

you want to drink at least 65 oz of Cal free liquid( water, tea , crystal light )

and the more exercise the better

I would recommend upping your protein, there are various sources that can tell you how much protein you should have with your height and weight. My sister just finally listened to me and has dropped 2 lbs. in 3 days. If you're not getting enough water in that can be a factor as well. Not only does water help flush toxins from our bodies, but it replenishes us and lets our body know to get rid of water weight. Do men deal with that? As far as the exercise goes switch it up. Your body will get used to a certain activity if you've been walking, try riding a bike instead, or swimming instead. I hope these ideas help. Glad you're account is no longer deactivated, was going to respond earlier, but you were deactivated. Best of luck!
